You might call this The top 10 tunes of Irish Mandolin because it's really some very exciting arrangements of some popular and appealing tunes.

You will add to your repertoire, minor key songs, jigs, reels, hornpipes including the Show Stopper from "Celtic Woman" and "Riverdance," the hot tune "Boys of Bluehill" from the top Nashville Session Men, and some beautiful Irish/Scottish/British Isle melodys that you may have never heard. "Connaughtman's Rambles" is a suite of three tunes that create mood change from one tune to the next. If anything makes this course stand out, it's the choice of material. You will also find that you are getting comments like: "That is a great tune, you're the only person I've ever heard that plays that tune."

On the AUDIO portion of this course, the lesson is presented in 3 steps. First each solo is played at normal speed with accompanying rhythm guitar to demonstrate the finished product. Next, the solo is played at half speed so the student can hear it under the microscope. And last, a jam along version allows the student to play along, after he or she is ready to keep up with the music. *The jam track consists of 5 rounds, with the solos recorded on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th round and an empty space for the student on the 2nd and 4th rounds. (The CD is 70 minutes long)

The WRITTEN MATERIAL is 38 pages in tablature notation with chords. Many of the tune have a tutorial page describing how to approach the solo and artists who have recorded them. Also included is supportive reference material such as: How to Read Tablature, Pick Direction, Mandolin parts, Tuning, Setting & Tuning the Bridge, Open Chords for Mandolin, Bluegrass chop, Rhythm Chords, Basic Bluegrass Chord Progressions, Advanced Chop Rhythm Chords, Key Changing Wheel, Misc Information, Mandolin Fingerboard Chart, Major Scales, The Bill Monroe Bluegrass Scale, Major Arpeggios, Double Stops, Finger Exercises, Crazy Scales etc.
