Fishman's Acoustic Matrix™ undersaddle transducer senses the vibration of the entire bridge saddle, giving a smooth balanced sound for string spacings up to 2-1/2". The dynamic range and frequency response are far beyond those of standard undersaddle transducers. Fishman Prefix Pickup System

The Fishman Prefix pickup systems set the standard for onboard pickup/preamp systems. All Fishman Prefix systems start with the Acoustic Matrix undersaddle element, and then add one of several onboard preamps for easy control of your onstage tone. As you can see above, all models include a master volume knob to the top-right of the unit, and just above that is the latch for Fishman's patented "barn door", where you can flip the preamp open to change the battery when necessary. This obviates the need to reach inside the guitar to change the battery.

For standard size guitars. Adds a notch filter, brilliance slider and phase switch for performers who desire more control over their sound. Includes a 1/8" width undersaddle pickup. Provides active bass, contour (wide range semi-parametric), treble, frequency, and volume controls with a low-battery LED. The contour control allows you to boost or cut the frequencies you choose. This flexibility allows you to add brilliance, scoop out harsh mid-range frequencies, or reduce feedback and unwanted resonance.
